I have my coffee and my newspaper and my life! The barista knows my name is not Noah but she decided to name me that. She will be fixing that.

  1. Samsung will release a new Smartwatch this week. They are coming for you, Apple! Probably not.
  2. Walmart is cutting worker hours. Pray for the employees and their families.
  3. The State Department released 7,000 of Hilary Clintons emails. Yall  still tripping?
  4. A court ruled that parents of public school kids do not have a constitutional right to decide where to send their children to school.
  5. California approved a bill to ensure equal pay for women. Head to HR and request an equity review!
  6. Blue Bell Ice cream will be back next Monday!
  7. Does it surprise you that somebody has to fight bias against minorities in changing the way car loans are priced? Look for stats from the Consumer financial Protection Bureau.
  8. Retailer Forever 21 is aiming to downsize larger stores. Don’t be surprised when they move to a smaller location at your local mall!

[Celebrity Tidbits] New iPad 2 Soon + ‘The Bodyguard’ Remake

Almost 18 years ago, Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner made the blockbuster film, The Bodyguard. Well, in case you were not born or never seen the movie, you are in for a new treat! Warner Brothers reports that it will remake the film. The cast has not been named. They have said that they aim to cast an actual singer in Whitney’s role. Don’t worry. It won’t be Whitney! She can save her energy for the Waiting to Exhale sequel!

I don’t have an iPad and I am glad I don’t because the new one is on the way and I wouldn’t like to have an outdated one! On Marc 2, 2011, Apple will unveil its plan for the iPad2. The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco and will start at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

Verizon Will Sell Iphone Version Next Month

New York– Ending months of feverish speculation, Verizon announced on Tuesday that it would begin selling a version of the iPhone 4 early next month.

“Today, two industry innovators are coming together to deliver something consumers have been hungry for for years,” said Lowell McAdam, the president and chief operating officer of Verizon, at a news conference at Jazz at Lincoln Center in Manhattan. “We are bringing to market the fruit of our strategic partnership with a giant in the market, and that is Apple.”

Apple had to create a new version of the iPhone 4 for Verizon because its network uses a technology known as CDMA, as opposed to the GSM technology used in all existing iPhones.

Steve Jobs Introduces the Ipad: Are you impressed?

 SAN FRANCISCO – Apple Inc. will sell the newly unveiled tablet-style iPad starting at $499, a price tag far below the $1,000 that some analysts were expecting.

The iPad, which is larger in size but similar in design to Apple’s popular iPhone, was billed by CEO Steve Jobs on Wednesday as “so much more intimate than a laptop and so much more capable than a smart phone.”

Jobs, 54, a pancreatic cancer survivor who got a liver transplant during a 5 1/2-month medical leave last year, looked thin as he introduced the highly anticipated gadget, though he seemed to have more energy than he did at Apple’s last event in September. Read MORE HERE!
